After unveiling her new single “Part of Me” in her Grammy performance Sunday night, Katy Perry has now released the song to iTunes and radio – and HitPredictor. The track, which is the jukebox now, is undoubtedly about Perry’s divorce from actor Russell Brand. “You can keep the diamond ring/It don’t mean nothing anyway,” Perry sneers over a propulsive beat and a bouncing guitar line.
“Part of Me” will join 2 other brand new singles, and 4 re-workings of previous hits, on Perry’s Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection album due out March 27.
Listen to Perry’s “Part of Me” in the jukebox now and let us know what you think!
Here is the skinny on the hottest artists and songs on the HitPredictor charts right now!
Talk about a superstar hiphop group, you have Eminem rappin with Detroit’s Royce Da 5′ 9″, along with the sweet vocals of Bruno Mars… “Lighters” by Bad Meets Evil ft. Bruno Mars is a match made in Heaven, producing one of the highest HitPredictor Mainstream Top 40 scores in many years.
Rihanna goes back to her Caribbean roots for Rhythmic HitPredictor, with her latest single “Man Down.” She says it comes from “me trying to achieve that. I’m super inspired by reggae music [and it] has been a part of me since I was born. The special thing in that song is the fact that it’s a female singing those lyrics, then you have that reggae thing and the chant; the overall energy in that song is so gangsta.”
Everyone is talking about Katy Perry’s amazing new video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”, where she debuts her geeky alter ego, Kathy Beth Terry. It’s inspired by real life events involving her friend and co-writer, Bonnie McKee in which they went to a local club in Santa Barbara and danced until they died, then brought the party back to the hotel room for a night of debauchery. Both Rihanna and Katy Perry are Rhythmic HitPredictors this week.
The amazing Jennifer Hudson, Weightwatcher spokesperson, is set to resume her movie career portraying Winnie Mandela in the upcoming biopic, Winnie. The second single from her second album, “No One Gonna Love You” is an Urban HitPredictor this week.
Buffalo’s John Rzeznik and the Goo Goo Dolls are back with their latest hit, “All That You Are” from the soundtrack to Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Host, label owner and spokesperson for Kodak, Armando Christian Pérez, also known as Pitbull, is no doubt one of the most successful artists of the past 2 years. His former Mainstream Top 40 & Rhythmic HitPredictor is now a Hot AC HitPredictor this week.
Lady Gaga is certainly known to have a big heart and give back. This Saturday night she put on a spectacular show in Japan to aid victims of the country’s earthquake and tsunami disaster where she was sure to perform new single, “Edge Of Glory.” That song is traveling back across the world to us to be a HitPredictor this week at Mainstream AC.
At the age of 19, Brantley Gilbert was involved in a nearly-fatal car accident on Route 129 in GA. Afterwards he wrote about that experience and it became his first hit single “Halfway to Heaven”. He’s since written several hits for other acts including “My Kind of Party” for Jason Aldean. This week he has his own HitPredictor with “Country Must Be Country Wide.”Darius Rucker continues to sing about his roots in his 2nd country album Charleston SC, and his 3rd single from it is “I Got Nothin.” Both songs are Country HitPredictors this week.
Muskegon Michigan Rockers Pop Evil were formed from pieces of other Michigan bands in 2001. Originally known as TenFive, they are now on their 2nd album War of Angels. They debuted an acoustic version of their new Active Rock HitPredictor “Monster You Made” on the “Love Sponge Show.”

In her new video for “Last Friday Night (TGIF),” Katy Perry, or should we say Kathy Beth Terry, throws the best 80’s party anyone could wish to attend.
The video, at just over 8 minutes long, stars Rebecca Black (you know you remember her, viral video “Friday”) as the cool girl in school throwing a party next door as Kathy Beth Terry tries to study. Once Terry goes over to Black’s house next door to stop the noise, Black pulls her upstairs for a make-over. Kathy Beth Terry goes from brace-face to bombshell after Black works her magic.
In addition to the video’s glorious ’80s teen flick feeling, “Last Friday Night” features an onslaught of truly random cameos. Those celebs included: Darren Criss (Blaine) and Kevin McHale (Artie) from “Glee,” Hanson, Kenny G (as “Uncle Kenny”), Debbie Gibson and Corey Feldman (as Terry’s parents).

Last night the 2011 Billboard Music Awards were held in Las Vegas (and aired live on ABC) and I’m here to give you the scoop on who performed and who were the biggest winners.
Rapper Eminem and teen pop sensation Justin Bieber each took home 6 awards! There was also a six-way tie for second place with Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Usher, Taylor Swift, Mumford & Sons and Taio Cruz, who each won three trophies.
Eminem won awards in the following categories: Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Song and Top Rap Album.
Justin Bieber, the Billboard.com Fan Favorite Award Winner, was also named Top New Artist, Top Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Digital Media Artist, Top Pop Album and Top Streaming Song (video) at his first-ever Billboard Music Awards.
Winning two Billboard Music Awards each were Katy Perry, Shakira, Chris Tomlin and Train.
The show also featured three special awards. Beyonce Knowles received the Millennium award, Neil Diamond was given the Icon award, and U2 won the touring trophy.
The ceremony also featured performances from the Black Eyed Peas, Keith Urban, Taio Cruz, Cee Lo Green, Lady Antebellum, Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Far*East Movement, Pitbull, Mary J. Blige with Lil Wayne, OneRepublic, and a special performance by Neil Diamond.
There was also a surprise performance by Rihanna and Britney Spears who collaborated on Ri’s very sexual “S&M” track. Rihanna started out with a chain hand-cuff, a white bodysuit, and thigh-high white boots. Then out popped Brit with a black blindfold and like Rihanna, a black bodysuit. The two stars did a sexy chair dance and then romped on stripper poles until having a pillow fight and throwing feathers everywhere. Watch:

Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” claims a second week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 as Lady Gaga’s new single “The Edge of Glory” comes soaring in at No. 3.
“Rolling in the Deep” strengthens its lock atop the chart with Airplay Gainer honors for a third consecutive week and the Digital Gainer award for the second time in four weeks.
Gaga was not enough to knock Katy Perry’s “E.T.” single ft. Kanye West out the No. 2 spot, where the song holds for another week.
Pitbull unleashes his fifth Hot 100 top five hit, as “Give Me Everything,” featuring Ne-Yo, AfroJack and Nayer, vaults 8-4.

What do you think of this week’s Billboard Hot 100?!
Adele is on a roll as “Rolling in the Deep” takes the number one spot and gives Adele her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It’s hard to believe she hasn’t achieved that feat already since she has racked up so many other honors.
“Rolling in the Deep” pushes Katy Perry’s “E.T.,” featuring Kanye West, to No. 2 on the Hot 100, after five weeks on top. Just as American Idol helped Perry and West hold on to the top spot last week, it helps Jennifer Lopez this week.
J Lo. traded her judge’s chair for the stage to perform “On the Floor,” featuring Pitbull, on “American Idol” last Thursday (May 5), the song soars 7-3 with Digital Greatest honors on the Hot 100. Lady Antebellum’s new single “Just a Kiss” blasts into the top 10 at No. 7 which also maybe because of their performance on ‘Idol’.
Billboard’s Hot 100 4-10:
No. 4 – Black Eyed Peas’ “Just Can’t Get Enough”
No. 5 – Bruno Mars’ “The Lazy Song”
No. 6 – Britney Spears’ “Till the World Ends”
No. 7 – Lady Antebellum “Just a Kiss”
No. 8 – Pitbull “Give Me Everything” ft. Ne-Yo, AfroJack, and Nayer
No. 9 – Rihanna’s “S&M”
No. 10 – Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” ft. Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes
Katy Perry’s “E.T.” ft. Kanye West holds the No. 1 spot for the fifth week in a row while fighting off such competition as Britney Spears who soars back into the top 10.
Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” claims the No. 2 spot and the Airplay Gainer award as it rushes from 12 to 7 on the Radio Songs chart.
Making the journey up the charts to No. 3 is Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends” besting it’s previous peak at No. 9 and picking up the Digital Gainer which follows the release of the highly anticipated remix with Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj.
Here is the rest of your top 10:
No. 4 – The Black Eyed Peas’ “Just Can’t Get Enough”
No. 5 – Bruno Mars “The Lazy Song”
No. 6 – Rihanna’s “S&M”
No. 7 – Jennifer Lopez’s “On the Floor,” ft. Pitbull
No. 8 – Ke$ha’s “Blow”
No. 9 – Jeremih’s “Down on Me” ft. 50 Cent
No. 10 – Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now,” ft. Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes
What do y’all think of this week’s star-studded top 10?
The Billboard 200 doesn’t have much going on this week. There isn’t a single debut in the top 10, which hasn’t happened since Jan. 22. What’s more is that not one album posted a sales gain in the top 40! Hopefully things will brighten up next week as many albums were released yesterday.
“American Idol” booted yet another hopeful from the group of contestants participating. Host Ryan Seacrest said that 52 million votes were recorded, but ultimately, that was not enough for Stefano Langone who was sent packing.
This was no new routine for Langone, who’s had his fair share of trips to the bottom 3. This time around Stefano shared those seats with Jacob Lusk and Haley Reinhart.
Langone said that “Idol” was a priceless experience for him and then he sang his farewell song, “Lately.”
Guest stars of the episode included season seven winner, David Cook, who sang his new single “The Last Goodbye” and Katy Perry, dressed as an alien to perform her hit “E.T.” along with Kanye West.
“American Idol” returns next Wednesday with the contestants tackling the songs of Carole King, while Bruno Mars and season 9 runner-up Crystal Bowersox will perform on the elimination episode Thursday.
Rihanna’s “S&M” flies 2-1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week and earns Ri a pair of records in the process.
“S&M” marks the singer’s 10th No. 1 on the Hot 100 which is an accomplishment in itself, but that’s not actually the record-breaker here. The first incredible achievement comes in that Rihanna is the youngest singer to achieve the feat at 23 years old. The next is the amount of time in which she did it. Rihanna logs the shortest span between a solo artist’s first and 10th No. 1s – a stretch of four years, 11 months and two weeks. (Her 1st, “SOS” reached the top in 2006.)
Rihanna’s track displaces her real-life best friend, Katy Perry’s “E.T.,” featuring Kanye West (No. 2), after three weeks atop the Hot 100.
The rest of the top 10:
No. 3 – Black Eyed Peas’ “Just Can’t Get Enough”
No. 4 – Jeremih’s “Down on Me” ft 50 Cent
No. 5 – Cee Lo Green’s “F**k You (Forget You)”
No. 6 – Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep”
No. 7 – Chris Brown’s “Look at Me Now” ft Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes
No. 8 – Jennifer Lopez’s “On the Floor” ft Pitbull
Katy Perry‘s new music video for her stellar track “E.T.” featuring Kanye West premiered today, March 31 on MTV. The outer-worldly single put Perry through some grueling make-up processes to play the extraterrestrial character that she does.
