As expected based from the billing of two of the biggest rappers in the industry teaming up for a show together, Eminem and Jay-Z put on an EPIC show for Detroit last night with support from Dr. Dre, D12, 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks, Drake, Young Jeezy, Memphis Bleek and of course, show-opener B.o.B who helped make the concert one of the biggest nights in hip-hop history.

Thursday’s show was just the first of 4 stadium performances – two in Detroit, Eminem’s hometown, and two in NYC, Jay-Z’s hometown, hence the “Home and Home” tour title. The second Detroit show goes live tonight, with the two NYC shows being held Sept. 13 & 14.

MTV reports that Eminem gave his hometown a performance of hit after hit, bringing out D12, 50 Cent and the G-Unit before pulling the big Dr. Dre onto stage to the roar of the crowd.

“Got dammit, Detroit. Do I love you or what?” Eminem said. “Look what I brought out for you.” After asking the crowd to show their love, they began chanting “Deeee-tox, Deeeee-tox” in anticipation of Dre’s upcoming album – the first since The Chronic was released in 1992, almost 20 years ago!

In response to the crowd Dre just smiled and said, “I’m Comin’!”

B.o.B, who opened the show, also re-joined Eminem for “Airplanes Part 2.”

After Eminem’s set there was a 10-minute break before Jay-Z exploded on stage. His set included appearances from Jeezy, and Memphis Bleek.

In all, the hip-hop stars shared very little stage time – only when Jay-Z made an appearance for “Renegade” during Em’s set.

You can catch a full recap of the show here on MTV.

Were you at the show last night? Who do you think Jay-Z will bring out when the show heads to his hometown?
