Travie McCoy reportedly replaces Nicki Minaj on Last Girl on Earth tour

Well, it’s perhaps not what one would expect for what is called the “Last Girl On Earth” tour, but SOHH.com is reporting that Travie McCoy has been tapped to replace Nicki Minaj on Rihanna’s upcoming summer tour.

The Gym Class Heroes frontman will be the only male with two of pop’s hottest stars – Rihanna and Ke$ha on the full tour. McCoy just released his debut solo album Lazarus last week.

Nicki Minaj pulled out of the tour so that she could focus on recording her debut album, noting that it wasn’t an easy decision to make.

The “Last Girl On Earth” tour starts July 2, in Washington and goes coast to coast before wrapping up in Chicago at the end of August.

Rihanna announces massive summer tour with Ke$ha, and Nicki Minaj opening!

Rihanna has announced a massive summer tour called the “Last Girl on Earth Tour” that will have her hitting 25 cities from coast-to-coast across North America.

She’s definitely sticking to the girl theme as she’s lined up fellow pop divas Ke$ha and Nicki Minaj to open up all 25 dates for her!

The tour is in support of her latest album, Rated R, and will kick off July 2 in Seattle and wrap up August 25 in Chicago.

“We’ve never done a tour to this capacity. The production is unbelievable and the costumes, we just took it to a whole new level,” Rihanna said in a statement. “Visually and sonically it’s going to be a big step up from the last time.”

Tickets for the “Last Girl on Earth Tour” go on sale this Friday, April 9, at LiveNation.com.
