This week was a pretty good week in my opinion at HitPredictor. I found music that I really enjoyed along with some music that I really could not stand listening to. My favorite song of the week was “Holdin You Down” by Jazmine Sullivan. I’ve been a fan of hers since the release of her album Fearless and cannot wait to hear more new music from her. This song gave me a great feeling that her next album will be just as good as her last. I enjoyed “Shake” by Jesse McCartney; his more adult-like sound is really working for him and I have enjoyed all of his songs that have come through the jukebox lately. “Summer Day” by Sheryl Crow is another one of her relaxed and fun summer songs. Even though the summer is over this song brings back those good summer memories all over again. I really liked Matt Hires’ voice in “You in the End.” I like some alternative rock and this was a really cool song.

I just cannot stomach a lot of music by Kanye West and I thought the song “Monster” was OK, but I have no doubt that it is going to be a huge hit. The song also featured Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, and Rick Ross. It’s like a rap star reunion. The only part I really enjoyed was Nicki Minaj’s rap. “Breaking Point” by Keri Hilson is good R&B. As you know I occasionally like country music and I thought “Ready for Love” by Adam Brand was catchy and really enjoyable. Akon has a nice dance song with Angel. I enjoy Finger Eleven and their song “Living in a Dream” is great too

The songs I didn’t like this week, I really didn’t like!  I didn’t care for any of the songs in the jukebox by Eminem. I’m not a prude, but his music is so offensive and derogatory towards women I cannot stand it. The word ‘bitch’ was mentioned so many times in the song “No Love” (feat Lil Wayne) I lost count. He half apologizes for slandering people in his song “Talkin 2 Myself” but he still says mean and hateful things in his music and I just cannot accept that as something I want to listen to. Does Kylie Minogue‘s music have to be so annoying? Her song “Get Outta my Way” is so pop and dances it’s just annoying.

This week also had some great songs and songs that were repeated way too much, if you know what I mean…more on that next week. Have a great week and see you next time!
