Michael Jackson’s new single with Akon “Hold My Hand” made its official debut at 12:01 a.m. EST this morning, and we’ve now got it ready for you to rate in the HitPredictor jukebox!
We want to know if you think this track – the lead single from Jackson’s upcoming posthumous album Michael, due out December 14 – has the potential to be a hit as a universal plea for peace.
As we reported last week, Akon recently put the finishing touches on the track, which was originally recorded back in 2007. This track was selected as the lead single by Jackson himself, who wrote a note stating his desire to give “Hold My Hand” extra attention.
Akon spoke about recording “Hold My Hand” with Jackson saying: “Just to be in the same room [with him], I felt like everything I wanted to achieve in life had already been achieved. That’s how incredible that aura [is].”
