Standard

There’s a new No. 1 on the Billboard 200 this week as rock band Disturbed claims the title spot after its newest release Asylum sold 179,000 copies in its debut week according to Billboard.com.

It’s the fourth consecutive studio album No. 1 for the group, which Billboard notes has only been achieved by two other rock bands in the history of the chart – Metallica and Dave Matthews Band. Disturbed’s previous No. 1’s include 2008’s Indestructible, 2005’s Ten Thousand Fists, and 2002’s Believe.

The second highest sales album was a new release of Now That’s What I Call Music, whose vol. 35 compilation arrived at No. 2 after moving 105,000 units last week.

The rest of the Billboard 200 top 10 include:

  • At No. 3, Recovery, Eminem, 93,000
  • At No. 4, Teenage Dream, Katy Perry, 88,000
  • At No. 5, Back To Me, Fantasia, 40,000
