New James Blunt, Reba McEntire, Jessie J in the Jukebox!

Standard

Every day, we are busy loading the jukebox with tons of new music for y’all. We want you to be the first to hear new music first and we want you to hear it HERE! There will soon be a ton of fresh new songs for you to rate so I just wanted to give you a heads up about some of them!

First off, James Blunt’s new album Some Kind of Trouble will be released tomorrow in the United States. It dropped overseas in November. When asked what his favorite single on the album would be, James picks “Turn Me On,” a song that was not even included on the promotional copies of the album due to labels thinking it was too inappropriate. Blunt says the song-sample lyric: “Why get complicated?/You know you want to turn me on”-is “not as emotionally sensitive as they think my audience would like. The track is reportedly being included on the American release and iTunes does have it listed on the album’s track list.

So that is Blunt’s favorite, but as for the first single, it’s called “Stay The Night.” Blunt will spend Grammy’s week hitting “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “Chelsea Lately,” then attend the Feb. 13 ceremony, a date that runs straight into Valentine’s Day. Given “the type of songs James is known for,” Dane Venable, New York-based senior VP of marketing for Atlantic says, the TV shows leading up to the holiday “will create a perfect storm of increased traffic in retail stores.

There are also two other songs in the jukebox I want to highlight. British pop star Jessie J is making her way to the state’s. She teamed up with B.O.B. to make “Price Tag.”

Also, Reba McEntire did a cover of Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy.” Reba looked rather emotional when she sang the song on the CMA’s that aired November 10, 2010.

Check these and other brand new songs out in the jukebox right now!
