What can you expect with upcoming Britney Spears album? Something new but still Britney-ish!

The producer of Britney Spears’ new album due out in March, Shellback, is starting to talk about what fans can expect with her new music.

Shellback is also the main producer behind Pink’s No. 1 hit “Raise Your Glass,” and collaborated with Dr. Luke and Max Martin for Spears’ latest effort.

MTV reports that in a recent radio interview the Swedish producer said “Right now we are preparing for Britney’s upcoming album, which will be released in March. Some other things too, but the main focus is the album. It works in many different ways [when you work with Britney]. You can make something absolutely new, or take a beat that’s three years old and come up with a good sound.”

As far as how much freedom he had in producing the new album Shellback said he was given pretty free reign but noted the focus was to still “find something new and it should [still[ sound ‘Britney.'”

“[Britney]’s actually damn professional. You read a lot on the Internet that Britney is not singing and mimes, but she is actually damn professional,” Shellback said. “She’s done it since she was 16. And just rhythmic way, she is f—ing awesome! And you do not have to go through and talk about the rhythms and stuff that you sometimes have to do. She’s very easy in the studio.”

Producers Shellback, Dr. Luke and Max Martin are donating a guitar they used in recording studio for the new album and signed by all three, to charity.

Are you excited to hear new music from Britney? Do you believe Shellback’s claim that she is actually singing?
