Carrie Underwood’s New Single “Good Girl”

Posted in Music with tags on February 24, 2012 by HitPredictor

Country superstar Carrie Underwood has just released a new single called “Good Girl.” The American Idol singer hasn’t put out new material in a while, so her fans are pretty excited about this one.

Good Girl” brings Carrie back to her roots with an uptempo beat and shows off her vocals while shooting off another warning against unseemly male figures, just like her last hit, “Before He Cheats.”

Written by Underwood, Ashley Gorley and Chris DeStefano, the track finds the former “American Idol” champ at her most fiery, leaping between near-whispers and pointed shouts over handclaps and a guitar riff that eventually lead into a snarling solo. “His lips are dripping honey, but he’ll sting you like a bee!” Underwood exclaims before the rousing chorus.

Check out Underwood’s “Good Girl” in the jukebox now!

HitPredictor Chart Results

Posted in Music with tags on February 22, 2012 by HitPredictor

Better late in the week than never, right?

Here are this week’s HitPredictor Charts…

Katy Perry wrote her latest hit “Part Of Me” as a kiss off to her ex Russell Brand, and debuted it on the Grammys. “Only One Rida (Part 2)” is the 2nd hit from Flo-Rida and features vocals by Australian recording artist Sia. 2011 was a great year for Ellie Goulding, who served as the only live performer at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29 April, 2011 and a few weeks later was the musical performer on SNL when Tina Fey returned as guest host. Her hit, “Lights” is the second single from Bright Lights. All 3 songs are HitPredictors at Mainstream Top 40 this week.

Sabotage” is from Ambition, the second studio album by American hip hop artist Wale and it’s this week’s sole Rhythmic HitPredictor.

This week’s only Country HitPredictor is Eric Church’sSpringsteen“, which was one of Rolling Stone’s Top 50 songs of 2011, and it’s the 3rd single from Chief, his third studio album.

Jack White is ranked #17 on Rolling Stone’s list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”. He and wife/model Karen Elson also made another list as they are ranked at seventh place in the list of entertainers under age 30 who were born or live in in the United Kingdom. This week his first single “Love Interruption“, from his debut album Blunderbuss is this week’s Alternative HitPredictor.

This Means War” is the third single from the seventh album Here And Now by Canadian rockers Nickelback, and it’s an Active Rock HitPredictor this week.

Hot New Music In Jukebox: Nicki Minaj, Usher, and More

Posted in Music with tags , on February 15, 2012 by HitPredictor

Well hello there! Hope y’all are enjoying hump day… Here’s a little something to make the rest of the day go by that much faster.

We’ve just added brand spanking new music to the jukebox and I thought you would want to know. Nicki Minaj is at it again. She just turned out “Starships,” produced by famed producer RedOne, it has a bouncier feel than most of Minaj’s work. It’s a bit off base for the rapstress, but she likes the feeling it will give off.

“I know people are gonna love it. It feels right,” Minaj told Ryan Seacrest yesterday, “It just feels good. It makes people feel happy and that’s all I want. I want tho start the year off with making people feel good.”

Next up, we have a new Usher R&B track “Climax” also aimed at making people feel good. The track produced and co-written by Diplo, has Usher cruising in Falsetto and reminding the world that he is capable of making pristinely arranged slow jams like “Nice and Slow.”

The song dropped yesterday thanks to Valentine’s day and Diplo only had “nice” things to say about the record. “I’m pretty sure in 9 months there are gonna be a lot of new babies that this song is responsible for,” Diplo posted on Twitter on Tuesday (Feb. 14). Usher’s Twitter message was simple enough: “Happy Valentine’s Day to all!!”

Enjoy those tracks and much more in the juke now!!

Katy Perry’s New Single ‘Part of Me’ In The Jukebox

Posted in Music with tags on February 15, 2012 by HitPredictor

After unveiling her new single “Part of Me” in her Grammy performance Sunday night, Katy Perry has now released the song to iTunes and radio – and HitPredictor. The track, which is the jukebox now, is undoubtedly about Perry’s divorce from actor Russell Brand. ”You can keep the diamond ring/It don’t mean nothing anyway,” Perry sneers over a propulsive beat and a bouncing guitar line.

“Part of Me” will join 2 other brand new singles, and 4 re-workings of previous hits, on Perry’s Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection album due out March 27.

Listen to Perry’s “Part of Me” in the jukebox now and let us know what you think!

HitPredictor Chart Results

Posted in Music with tags on February 7, 2012 by HitPredictor

Here are this week’s HitPredictor Charts. It must be some rough competition out there because this is a short list. It’s hard to be on top!

This week’s Alternative HitPredictor is Coldplay’sCharlie Brown“, a song that takes its name from the fact that it was inspired by the comic strip “Peanuts”. During the writing and recording sessions of Mylo Xyloto, the song took on other names, such as “Cartoon Heart” and “Cartoon Head”, before eventually being given its current title. The song got its debut on the X Factor when it was confirmed as the 3rd single from the album.

Kelly Clarkson has been confirmed to mentor country singer Blake Shelton’s contestants on the second season of The Voice coming up this month. The title single from her latest album Stronger is this week’s HitPredictor at Mainstream AC.

80s hip-hop group Run DMC’s Rev Run is now getting his son into the business. 16-year-old and lead singer of Mindless Behavior, Diggy Simmons is on the way to his biggest hit with the second single from his first album, Unexpected Arrival. “Do I Like You” is also this week’s sole Rhythmic HitPredictor.

Tyrese is back with his 5th album, Open Invitation and the lead single “Stay” is this week’s sole Urban HitPredictor.

Here and Now is the seventh studio album by Canadian rock band Nickelback and the 3rd single from that album is “Lullaby“, which is a Hot AC HitPredictor this week.

Zac Brown Band was winner of the Grammy award for Best New Artist in 2010. They’ve scored 8 straight #1 hits off of their two major label releases, The Foundation and You Get What You Give, and are looking to continue the streak with “No Hurry“, the fifth from their latest album. It’s a Country HitPredictor this week.

The Church of Rock and Roll is the fourth studio album by Cincinnati’s Foxy Shazam, and the first single from it is “I Like It“, released by way of their Facebook page on October 6, 2011 as a free download. Pop Evil’s 2nd single “Boss’s Daughter” certainly appeals to the target audience of Active Rock, with lyrics like “She’s a Loaded Gun…dressed to kill, she’ll put a bullet in your heart just to feel the thrill”. Both singles are Active Rock HitPredictors this week.

Madonna’s Super Bowl Performance, “Give Me All Your Love” In The Jukebox

Posted in Music with tags , on February 6, 2012 by HitPredictor

International Super Star, Madonna was the NFL’s performer of choice for last night’s Super Bowl halftime show.

Mag decided on a Roman empire type stage setting in which she sang a mash up of her hits from times past, including “Vogue,” “Like A Prayer,” and “Express Yourself.” She was then joined by the group that seems to be everywhere these days, LMFAO. These three collided on LMFAO’s claim to fame single “Sexy and I Know It.”

Finally, Madonna was joined by Nicki Minaj and MIA for her latest single, “Give Me All Your Love.” This is the lead single for Madonna’s album MDNA due out March 26, and it’s in the HitPredictor jukebox right now!

Hope you enjoyed the Super Bowl halftime show and let us know what you are thinking on Madonna’s new single by going to the jukebox and rating it now!
