On her new album Stronger, set for October release, Kelly Clarkson told MTV that the music was influence by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, and Radiohead, along with a little bit of a country vibe/influence on a couple of songs. This week the first single from that album, “Mr. Know It All” is a triple threat, scoring Mainstream Top 40Hot AC and Mainstream AC HitPredictors.

Nicki Minaj says about her new Urban and Rhythmic HitPredictor this week, “Fly” is one of my absolute faves. I wanted to work with Rihanna for a long time. I’m very proud of her accomplishments; especially since she was born on an island like me. This song is a female empowerment song. But then again, its not specific to just women. “Tattoos On This Town” is the fourth single from Macon Georgia’s hometown boy Jason Aldean’s 4th album My Kinda Party, and it’s this week’s sole Country HitPredictor.

Canadian Rockers Art of Dying is currently on tour as part of this years Rockstar’s 2011 Uproar Festival, along with Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace and Seether. “Get Through This” is the first single from Vices and Virtues. The second studio album by Danish Rockers Volbeat, who site their influences as classic Rock & Roll artists like Elvis and Johnny Cash. “A Warrior’s Call” is the 2nd single from their fourth album Beyond Hell/Above Heaven. Both songs are Active Rock HitPredictors.

This week’s 2nd Mainstream AC HitPredictor is The Script’s “Nothing”, which is about a man who gets intentionally drunk after the girl he broke up with had nothing to say in response when he dialed her number and said he still loves her, hence the title “Nothing”.
