Lady Gaga’s ‘Edge of Glory’ Video Premieres

Standard

Lady Gaga premiered her newest video for track “Edge of Glory” last night (June 16) on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance?” The video is simple, understated, and somewhat of a tribute to New York City, where Gaga is from.

The video also features Clarence Clemmons, from the E Street Band, who’s health took a turn for the worst this week when he suffered a stroke.

Billboard reports that there are no complicated storylines a la “Judas” or “Bad Romance,” and not even a costume change or much choreography (and certainly no swarms of scantily-clad dancers) — just Gaga and her city. Clad in a black studded Versace ensemble, Gaga emerges from a fire escape, struts down an empty sidewalk and perches on a stoop with her bud Clarence in the clip.
