Producer Alex Da Kid Launching Record Label


Producer Alex Da Kid, who is most known for his hits with Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie” and B.o.B.’s “Airplanes” and “Airplanes Part II” with Haley Williams from Paramore, is launching his own record label.

KIDinaKORNER will be launched through Interscope Records and it’s first release will be Skylar Grey’s solo album. Billboard is reporting that Grey worked closely with Alex Da Kid (real name: Alexander Grant) on his aforementioned breakout production work, as well as more recent hits such as Diddy-Dirty Money’s “Coming Home,” Dr. Dre’s “I Need A Doctor” featuring Eminem and Lupe Fiasco’s “Words I Never Said.” Her solo debut single, “Dance Without You,” is set for release on June 7.

“Developing artists that influence and shape popular culture in an authentic way has always been a huge goal of mine,” said Alex Da Kid in a statement.”Interscope has always been committed to great producers.” Added Interscope/Geffen/A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine, “I think in Alex we found one that will be around for a long time.”
