The Foo Fighters made up their minds to help Australia and New Zealand after floods and earthquakes damaged the area. And they have done exactly that by raising upwards of $1 million toward relief funds.
Michael Gudinski’s Frontier Touring Company organized and promoted the shows, which took place March 22 at Auckland Town Hall and March 27 at the Riverstage in central Brisbane, reports Billboard.
The first of those concerts raised NZ$ 354,903 ($284,000) for the New Zealand Government Christchurch Earthquake Appeal while the Australian gig raised A$770,717 ($837,00) for the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal.
Wow!! Thanks Foo Fighters!
