Lady Gaga Earns Record-Tying No. 1 on Billboard Pop Songs Chart

Standard

On her birthday, today March 28, Lady Gaga earns a pretty awesome birthday present. Today the Mother Monster achieves her seventh No. 1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart. This ties the “Born This Way” singer with P!nk and Rihanna for most leaders on the 18-year-old Nielsen BDS-based radio airplay ranking.

According to Billboard, Lady Gaga became the first artist to send her first six singles to the Pop Songs summit when “Just Dance,” featuring Colby O’Donis, “Poker Face,” LoveGame,” “Paparazzi” (2009), “Bad Romance” and “Telephone,” featuring Beyonce (2010), reigned successively. (Her seventh single, and last release prior to “Born,” “Alejandro,” peaked at No. 4).

I’m really astonished by the popularity of “Born This Way” and how many records the single has set. What you do think of all the record’s “Born This Way” has accomplished?
