Karen Rodriguez Booted From ‘American Idol’

Bilingual singer, Karen Rodriguez was eliminated from “American Idol” on last night’s results show.

It was determined that the bottom 3 were Naima Adedapo, Haley Reinhart, and Rodriguez. Adedapo, who got a bit of an attitude by uttering “wonder who?” as she and Stefano Langone awaited which of them would go to the bottom three, was ultimately deemed safe. Reinhart and Rodriguez stood holding hands as Ryan delivered the news that Rodriguez was the one “in danger” of going home. Rodriguez then sang an english/spanish combination of Mariah Carey’s “Hero.” I thought it was pretty good but the judges did not feel that they could use their save.

Randy announced the judges decision and told Rodriguez that it was not unanimous as J.Lo rolled her chair away from the table and turned her head away from the camera as if she were going to cry. I think J.Lo relates to Rodriguez with the bilingual singing abilities and maybe saw potential there.

The Black Eyed Peas and reigning “Idol” Lee DeWyze also performed on the hour long show.

Was Karen your favorite? Who do you think should go home next?

It’s no wonder the music business sucks so bad nowadays if Idol truly thinks several of the remaining contestants have talent. Please, when did screaming become the new singing? Adedapo should never have been in this to start with. She is the least talented of all of them. Ditto with Casey and the guy with all the ticks. Let me scream instead of singing. Puhlease. And if Jimmy Lovine is such a talented music producer, it really does explain why the music business has sucked for so many years now. If he thinks that all of these people are talented…….retire to the old folks home Jimmy…you must be tone deaf…..and blind. I truly feel sorry for a few of the people that were never voted on and have to sit at home watching this, knowing they are so much better than several that are still on the show.
