‘American Idol’ Launches Facebook Voting for Season 10

Standard

The 10th season on American Idol has added another way to vote for hopefuls to make the show’s next round: Facebook!

Fans will be allowed to cast up to 50 online votes per episode. It is the first time “American Idol” has opened its voting process to the Internet and the first time the show has placed a cap on the number of votes an individual may place. Phone lines have had a two-hour window after each show; Facebook voting will also have a time limit.

Preteens however will not be able to vote via Facebook because of the 13 year old age requirement to have a Facebook account so texts and phone calls will still be accepted.

What do y’all think of this new way to vote on Idol?

I REALLY think scotty will be way more success full than lauren ! His voice is consistant and unlike lauren his voice does have to be on meds to sing ! Scotty should tottally be American idol champion / winner no matter what . !
