Panic! At The Disco Premieres “Ballad of Mona Lisa” Video

Standard

Panic! at the Disco premiered their new video for single “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” today (Feb. 8) on MTV. This track is from their upcoming album, Vices and Virtues due out March 29. Some have said that this album is a progression of their debut 2005’s , A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out. Many think it’s even it’s logical successor because it is directly indebted to the ground they have covered since that last album. MTV reports that the band is now “free of the internal bickering that threatened to derail them, they were loose, lively and, most of all, happy.”

And Panic! will be the first ones to admit this. Sort of.

“I think there’s songs like [first single ‘The Ballad of] Mona Lisa’ that come from the similar vein as Fever,” frontman Brendon Urie said. “That being said, I don’t know if it could fit on Fever. … I think it was a new band, it was a new start when Spencer and I started writing, so it was gonna end up sounding different, sonically. But maybe some songs were a progression from the first record.”

We have “The Ballad of Mona Lisa” in the jukebox right now for you so check it out!! And you can watch the video here.
