Pick Taylor Swift’s next hit!

Standard

We’ve done it with Lady Gaga and Eminem and had so much fun we thought with all the requests we’ve had for Taylor Swift, why not try it again?

What exactly are we doing you ask? We’re putting in four new tracks from Swift’s new album Speak Now to see how many of the tracks from her latest effort have hit potential!

Swift made an impressive debut with “Back to December” coming in at No. 6 in its first week on the Billboard Hot 100, “Mean” debuting at No. 11 this week, and with all the suggestions we have gotten for the hidden song contest we want to know if any of these other tracks have the potential to chart high as well!

So, have a listen and let us know if you think one of the four following tracks that either has been released as a single was a good choice, or whether the others should be released as a single!

With your ratings we will tally the results based on the scores, and will report the rank order of popularity of the following tracks later next week and whether any of these tracks have at least a top 5 charting potential!

Go to HitPredictor now to vote and give us your opinion on:
– Mine
– Sparks Fly
– Better Than Revenge
– Enchanted

We’ll let you know what the results are next week!

Justin Bieber to debut video during World Series pre-show

Standard

Are you ready for some Bieber with your baseball?

(That’s Bieber – not beer I said, and yes, I’m serious!)

Well, you better be because the 16-year-old Canadian teen sensation will debut the music video for the acoustic version of his song “Never Say Never” during the pre-show for Game 3 of the World Series on Fox, Saturday Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. EDT.

The track is from Bieber’s just announced (and as-yet untitled) acoustic album that is scheduled to be released Nov. 23.

Billboard reports Bieber dons gear from both the Texas Rangers and the San Francisco giants in the “Never Say Never” clip, which was shot at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Calif.

Do you think Major League Baseball is trying to get teen girls to tune into the World Series by premiering the Bieber video? Does it seem odd to you?

Members pick Selena, Black Label Society & more – do you hear any hits here?

Standard

Thanks to another week of excellent nominations, we have some new tracks in the jukebox this morning, because we think our members may have some great ideas on new tracks with big hit potential! Among the artists we want your feedback on are Selena Gomez & The Scene, Trace Adkins, Black Label Society, and Matt Hires. So check these tracks out and let us know whether you think any of these picks from our members have hit potential!

“Off The Chain” is a new track from Selena Gomez & The Scene’s recent release A Year Without Rain. Nominated by boredjenny14, we want to know if you think this fun number about how awesome love is – “your love is off the chain” – from the Disney teen star’s latest release has the potential to be a radio hit!

Trace Adkins shakes things up with the track “Whoop A Man’s A**” from his most recent release Cowboy’s Back in Town. This track, nominated by ziggylover2000 is meant to be a funny bit to get you moving and will no doubt have you feeling like a tough guy. But, is this a song you think has the potential to be a hit on the radio? Or is it destined for a life licensed to movies and the WWE? Have a listen and let us know!

“Parade of the Dead” is a new track from Black Label Society’s recent release Order of the Black. Sent in by HitPredictor member bobbysuehs this single, first released in June, is starting to gain traction on the radio. Do you think it’s good enough to be a charting hit for the band? Check it out in the jukebox and tell us what you think!

HitPredictor member Rachel2 has suggested we put “O Sunrise” by Matt Hires in the jukebox for a few weeks now, so we thought we ought to check it out! “O Sunrise” is from Hires’ 2009 release Take Us To The Start and has been described by reviewers as “uplifting” and “simply beautiful.” Do you think this is a song that has the potential to be a mainstream hit?

Check all of these tracks out in your HitPredictor jukebox now and let us know whether you think any of our members’ picks are potential hits!
