Crystal Bowersox tied the knot yesterday with long-time beau Brian Walker in Chicago. MTV reports the happy couple got married in the nightclub where they met during an open mic night six years ago.
“Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now,” Bowersox said. “I can’t believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love, and light within each other. We’re one happy WalkerSox family.”
MTV reports Bowersox stayed true to her earthy style, wearing a hemp and cotton gown featuring macramé and seashell accents that was created in a Vermont designer’s solar-powered studio.
There were approximately 60 friends and family at the ceremony. Bowersox’s son, 1½-year-old Tony served as the ring bearer.
In lieu of gifts, the couple have requested that fans make donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund; Bowersox suffers from diabetes.
