Justin Bieber nail polish designer?

Yes, it’s true.

The teen idol is officially launching a line of nail polish inspired by his biggest hits according to nail care company OPI.

The company announced on Monday (as reported on Billboard.com) that the first six colors in the line will be sold exclusively through Wal-Mart stores beginning this December.

The nail polish shades are labeled after some of Bieber’s biggest hits including: One Less Lonely Glitter (which is a lavender color), Give Me the First Dance (silver), Prized Possession Purple (grape) and more!

According to the report the complete “One Less Lonely Girl” collection will be released in January 2011, with distribution widening by February.

The nail polish is just the latest celebrity endorsement for Bieber who has also just signed on with the anti-acne Proactiv, in addition to a range of Bieber dolls and toys that will be available in stores this holiday season.

Do you think nail polish designer colors is going to stretch the Bieber brand too far – especially this early in his career? Or, do you think it’s a good move?

Eminem’s interview with 60 Minutes sheds light on his rhyming process

Standard

Eminem sat down with Anderson Cooper for an in-depth interview which was recorded just before his September stadium show in Detroit, and aired on 60 Minutes (CBS) last night. The interview covered several topics including his new-found sobriety, being bullied in school, how his rhyming process takes place, and more.

Billboard has posted the entire clip from 60 Minutes here, and offered a great synopsis of the interview:

Eminem told Cooper : “I was beat up in the bathrooms, in the hallways, shoved in the lockers — for the most part for being the new kid.” As a child Eminem and his single mother lived hand-to-mouth and moved frequently – sometimes forcing him to change schools 2-3 times a year.

So how did he cope with this? Rapping and rhyming. “I found something.. ‘yeah, this kid over here may have more chicks or better clothes, but he can’t do this like me,'” he said about when he began to rap. “I started to feel like, ‘Maybe Marshall is getting a little respect.'”

Although he dropped out of school in the ninth grade and in general got horrible grades the one thing Eminem enjoyed studying was English. In fact, he even read the dictionary in order to store words in his head when needed for rhyming, and revealed that enunciation is the key to making words many don’t think rhyme with anything work.

Eminem said that “Respect” is something he’s been searching for his entire career. “It might sound corny, but I felt like a fighter coming up.”

What did you think of the Eminem interview (you can check the entire clip here)? Do you think it’s indicative of his full recovery from his addiction to pills?
